South Gate Grand Opening!
For nearly 50 years, AltaMed has remained dedicated to providing the best quality care to our patients and community. And we are proud to say that our community has steadily grown. That said, we are excited to announce that we have opened a new medical and dental office in the city of South Gate. AltaMed Medical and Dental Group – South Gate is a brand new, two-story medical and dental facility, adjacent to the Azalea Shopping Center located near Atlantic Avenue and Firestone Boulevard.
This new facility offers access to a variety of services and gives us the opportunity to provide optimal health care to you and your family.
At our South Gate medical and dental facility, patients will have access to:
- A brand new facility with plenty of parking
- More than 35 exam rooms
- Dental services
- Onsite health education classes
- X-ray and radiation accommodations
- Pediatric services
- Women’s health classes
- On-site pharmacy
The development of this new site means that we are readily available in your neighborhood, making it easier to provide you with access to quality care!
You’re Invited!
To kick off the opening of this new site, we will be having a Grow Healthy Community Festival and Farmer’s Market on August 13 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., and we invite you and your family to join! Come celebrate the opening of this new facility; we have a lot in store.
For your entertainment, there will be:
- Free backpacks with school supplies for your child (first 200 people)
- Community festival and farmer’s market
- Games, raffles and prizes
- Tours of the new location
- Music, fun and so much more!

AltaMed Celebrates Community Clinics During National Health Center Week
It’s one of our favorite times of the year – National Health Center Week will be in full swing starting August 13. This year’s theme is “Celebrating America’s Health Centers: The Key to Healthier Communities,” and here at AltaMed, we are dedicated and committed to ensuring our patients are happy and healthy.
AltaMed is one of the many health centers serving more than 25 million Americans across more than 9,000 delivery sites. We have always strived to deliver high-quality, cost-effective care, while helping to empower the community.
We are pleased to be a part of this commemoration and are proud that our patients not only get the care they need under one roof, but are also treated as individuals, with dignity and respect. To kick off National Health Center Week (August 13 – 19), AltaMed will host two events to showcase many of the innovative projects and services we offer our communities.
There will be events in both Los Angeles and Orange Counties. Activities include:
- Health screenings
